VINTAGE/ANTIQUE MERRYTHOUGHT PUSH TOY DONKEY' Description Up for auction is a very unusual and old Merrythought push toy donkey. He is in extrememly used condition, but very cool! Most of his mohair is missing from his back, neck and head. There are worn patches on his felt hooves, and his ears are gone. (Hopefully someone creative will give him some new ones made from felt). There is also paint wear to his metal push frame. He does have both eyes and all 4 wheels, as well as his tail! The Merrythought tag is on his underbelly. From the looks of him, I would guess that he is one of their earlier toys, maybe from the 1930's, but I do not know for sure. I tried to do some research on him, but could not find anything, and I do not have a book on Merrythought. If anyone has some info on this guy and would like to share it, the gesture would be greatly appreciated! The piece is about 21 inches long, and 18 inches high.
