This is a VERY hard-to-find large sitting Steiff Dalmation dog.  A sitting Dalmation such as this one is pictured on the cover of Gunther Pfeiffer's Steiff Sortiment book- pictured below (the book is not included with the dog). made only for FAO SCHWARZ, USA, and for ONLY one year- 1953 8.5" high swivel head, open mouth lined with felt, glass eyes, black thread nose and claws ORIGINAL red leather collar raised script button in ear Overall, in strong used condition- no longer white.  There is some yellow at the tip of the tail, and a brown mark on the stomach, and a light brown mark on the forehead.  Some stitching at the tops of the ears.  Some other general wear.  $13 shipping/handling/insurance Please visit my other Steiff too Place a Bid!
