I will be listing more mint or near mint in box dolls soon. these items are from my personal collection. please be sure to check out my other auctions! vintage BRUNETTE #3 PONYTAIL BARBIE (1959) - ALL ORIGINAL - NEAR MINT IN BOX - RARE NIPPLE BODY - purchased from original owner! THIS AUCTION is for a VINTAGE #3 brunette PONYTAIL BARBIE FROM 1959. THIS DOLL IS ALL ORIGINAL (purchased from original owner many years ago) and near mint condition! SHE IS IN beautiful CONDITION! HAIR: GORGEOUS full & SHINY brunette PONYTAIL WITH ALL ORIGINAL TOP KNOT AND ORIGINAL BOTTOM BAND (NOT EVEN BROKEN!!!). some of the hard curl is left in the ponytail, but mostly it is soft curls with the soft "rag" curl bangs! this doll was purchased from the original owner and rarely played with as you can tell by the hair - not mussed and both original bands are still intact and unbroken. There are no MISSING PLUGS OR HAIRCUTS. MAKEUP & HEAD: all original makeup - absolutely no retouches - BLUE EYES, BLUE EYELINER, BROWN EYEBROWS, AND red LIPS (slightly faded to the orangey-red color which happens with many of the #1, #2 and #3 dolls). all original red FINGERNAIL AND TOENAIL POLISH 100%. No rubs to eyemakeup or brows. as shown in the photos the corners of the lips have faded from age, but i would never retouch a doll in this stunning original condition. she has a very pale complexion . SHE HAS ONE EARRING HOLE PER EAR (NO PIN PRICKS) and no green or dark spots. the safe replacement pearl earrings shown in the photos are included. there are NO NOSE NIPS OR NECK SPLITS. BODY: very CLEAN with pale complexion - no STAINS, BITE MARKS, CHEWS, ETC.! APPROPRIATE STRAIGHT LEG BODY. this doll has the rare "nipple" body found on some of the #3 and #4 dolls from 1959-60. markings: this doll has the appropriate markings for a #3 PONYTAIL: barbie t.m./pats. pend./©MCMLVIII/BY/MATTEL/Inc. Box: this auction includes the vintage barbie box (stock no. 850) in NEAR MINT condition with no split corners, glue, TAPE, markings, tears or stains . nice bright graphics - nice straight corners - no creases! there is no hair color imprinted on the box, it appears someone neatly wrote "brunette" on the end flap - it is faint and hard to see. also included ARE the hard to find original NECK & FOOT box liners (not reproductions) in very good condition (the foot liner has a piece of clear tape holding it together). accessories: barbie is wearing her VINTAGE black & white knit "zebra" swimsuit WITH NO STAINS, HOLES, SNAGS, PULLS, RUNS, ETC. also included is the original black two-piece pedestal stand (not a rerproduction) with the barbie ® on the base, and pink barbie fashion booklet with black OPEN-TOE "JAPAN" SHOES and white sunglasses IN cello. all items are guaranteed vintage - no reproductions (except for the earrings).
