She is a rare find and a good friend of Barbie's.     This is not a reproduction but actual Vintage 1962 Midge Doll Because I am a collector, I try to acquire items that are affordable yet lovely and enjoyable to have.  Because I could not always afford the pristine Barbie Dolls, and their friends, I had to get the girls that needed some help in order to have them in my collection. So I have learned basic cleaning up and restyling methods that work for me. It also allows me to have time to play and dress and redress my dolls.When I received this doll she was in fantastic shape. I have done nothing to her other than to clean her up a little with a damp soft cloth. Her hair is styled in its original style. She is the rare side-glancing Midge with the smile that shows her teeth. She has beautiful coloring. She has these markings on her bottom: on the left side it has "6" , on the right side it has " Midge tm 1962 Barbie 1958 By Mattel Inc."  On her right foot bottom it says Japan along the length of her foot starting at the heel.This doll is in great shape. She has the Marlo flip style hair-do with bangs. Her freckles, and eyebrows and eye paint are all in good shape. She has barely alittle bit of lite peach finger nail polish on her L. hand on her thumb mostly. No toe nail polish is present. Her lips are also a lite peach color. Her R. Hand has slight chew marks on the fingers. The L. hand is fine. Toes are fine also. She has 2 dark spots on L. leg near knee area and a dark spot on each calf that is hard to see but is there. She also has 2 dark spots on R. side of back in the middle part of back. There is a lite spot on L. shin and a green spot on R. Heel. All of these defects are very minor and found under close inspection. I want to mention everything for accuracy. This Midge is not Pristine but she is beautiful for a 40 something gal and very collectible. She has no green ear, no neck splits, no nose nips, no pin pricks.She has very pretty soft strawberry blonde hair.She is  wearing a Beautiful Vintage dress (I think it is a Sew-Free Fashion) with a pink bow and blue bow that I have added to the dress. Her shoes are  pink reproduction Barbie/ Midge shoes.
