So I have learned basic cleaning up and restyling methods that work for me. It also allows me to have time to play and dress and redress my dolls.When I received this doll her hair was not in a ponytail and most of her face make-up was gone. She had alot of dirt on her body and it appeared that the previous owner had applied something to her face that made it turn a dark pink color. There is also a lite ashy powder present that does not come off. ( when I try to rub it off it doesn't go away)So I proceeded to wash her body with mild soap and water, what dirt did not come off was removed with a lite application of rubbing alcohol and cotton balls.I washed her hair and restyled it into a small ponytail that is tucked under. There was alot of her ponytail that had been cut off however there do not appear to be any missing hair plugs.I then proceeded to try my 1st attempt at repainting a Barbie's face. I like the way this came out but some of the colors are not a perfect match to a vintage dolls true face paint. I used acrylic paints which can be removed easily if you decide to repaint her face.I have repainted her eyebrows, the blue eyeshadow, the black eyelashes, her lipstick and her nose nostril dots.The doll head and body are in good condition. She has no green ear. There is only one earring hole for each ear. There are no nose pricks and there are no neck splits. Her head arms and legs are very tight at the joints. The over all color of her body is even except the lower part of her legs are a slight bit darker than the rest.She has these markings on her bottom: on the left side it has "B138" , on the right side it has " Barbie r Pats Pend c MCMLVIII By Mattel Inc."  On her right foot bottom it says Japan along the length of her foot starting at the heel. She has the Heavy #4 body.She has a small dent near the shoulder on the L. side of her upper body. Her breasts are nice, there are no pin pricks. She has approx. 95% of the dark red finger nail polish present on both hands. I did not re-touch this. She has 2 small pin size dark spots on her R. leg by the knee area. Her right hip has a slight line indentation near the top. Her left hip has a faint abrasion near the top. Her toes have approx 80% of the dark red toe polish present. I also did not re-touch this.All of these defects are very minor and found under close inspection. I want to mention everything for accuracy. This Barbie is not Pristine but she is beautiful for a 50 something gal and very collectible. I think she is a #4 or #6 Blonde Ponytail Barbie. I say this from researching and looking at alot of vintage dolls. She resembles these two the most.She has very pretty soft golden blonde hair with a touch of strawberry blonde to it.I have dressed her in the 2000 limited edition society hound collection and have included her new best friend , her greyhound.Her outfit includes her one piece gray bodysuit with the dusty blue overcoat and belt that is trimmed in faux fur. Her hat is a dusty blue with a black velvet ribbon and a rhinestone brooch. She wears faux black leather gloves that are wrist length and Maryjane gray and black pumps.Her greyhound is a velvety soft light brown and wears a matching dusty blue shawl with faux fur trim and a rhinestone brooch at the collar. The leash is made of rhinestones also. (There are 2 rhinestones missing from the leash ,but these could easily be replaced)They are both dressed and ready for a day of window shopping on the town and walking through the park. They both will come to you carefully wrapped and packaged with care.                   The doll stand is not included in this auction.I had someone ask if the Black sheer stockings and the pearl necklace that originally came with this outfit were included, so after looking for these items I am happy to say that I have found the stockings but unfortunately I have not found the necklace.
