Vintage 1894 RAPHAEL TUCK Paperdoll Clothes Start Price USD 9.99 Current Price USD 9.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, June 29, 2008 End Time Sunday, July 06, 2008 Location Leominster, MA See more about 'Vintage 1894 RAPHAEL TUCK Paperdoll Clothes' Description tillygail Store You are bidding on a vintage 5 pc lot of late 1890's paper doll clothes manufactured by the Raphael Tuck & Sons, Ltd company.  This 5 pc lot consists of (1) hat and (4) dresses.  The first dress shown (green) measures 7-1/4" long.  The reverse of the dress reads "ARTISTIC SERIES VIIa".  This dress has a tear under the armpit on the righthand side and has one "foot" missing.  There is also some slight "tear/damage" to the bottom of the sleeve to the right.  Otherwise, it is beautifully decorated with a lovely gold chain and a rhinestone-inspired belt and gold purse. The second dress shown (red/white) measures 7-1/2" long.  The reverse of this dress reads, "ARTISTIC SERIES VIIb". The condition of this dress is is pretty good.  There is only a slight crease to the right "shoulder" and a very small tear where the right hand cuff meets the dress.  Otherwise, it is in good condition. The third dress (teal-ish) measures -7-1/4" long.  The reverse of the dress reads "ARTISTIC SERIES VIIc".  The dress has a slight crease at about pelvic bone level and at chest level; however, there are no tears. The fourth dress (lt. blue) measures 7-1/4" long.  The reverse of the dress reads "ARTISTIC SERIES VIId".  The dress has a slight crease diagonal from elbow to cuff on the right hand side; otherwise, no other creases or tears.  It is adorned with a lovely bead necklace.  The matching had reads "VIId" on the reverse.  There is a slight "stain" on the front of the head; however, once it was slid onto the dolls head it would not be noticable. It appears with this lot that the heads and necks have been torn off two; however, the other two look as if they were clean cut! With the defects noted - overall - this is a nice lot of vintage RAPHAEL TUCK Paper doll clothes with some wonderful age! The reverse of each dress reads "Raphael Tuck & Sons, Ltd, London, Paris, Berlin, New York, Montreal".  "Publishers to their Majesties the King and Queen".  "U. S. Patent February 20th, 1894.  Copyright 1894 by Raphael Tuck & Sons Co. Ltd" along with the tuck easel and pallette logo!
