Each car is aprx 1 1/8" not including hooks and the engine is aprx 2 3/4". There are holes in each piece which I think might be intended to hold candles for a birthday cake.   Starting bids are just starting bids, not the item's "value" (which is  most often much higher on our items).  All items are from a smoke free environment.  Clicking on our store shows everything we are listing! Please be sure to add us to your favorites list! About Condition: Our items are usually vintage, antique or used and are  sold "as is".  They might have age related imperfections such as  wear, occasional slight odor, in need of cleaning, etc.   We provide an honest description and offer an opinion on condition, but might be unaware of  possible restoration, a missing part, etc. Please look at the pictures carefully and always feel free to ask questions. (promptly please, we're not available 24/7 and we might not see the question in time).  There are no returns unless we have made an error that resulted in the item being grossly misrepresented. Personal opinions can vary.  About Payment: Payment is expected within 5 days. We accept Paypal, money orders  or cashiers checks. Checks are accepted only under special circumstances. Please contact us about this before bidding. (clearance wait will delay shipment aprx. 10 days)    About International Shipping:  We are very sorry, but we do not ship internationally.    About US shipping:  Please don't hold us responsible for USPS rates. They are what they are and there's nothing we can do. We do not charge for handling or packing materials.  Rates are  especially high on what USPS considers to be oversize, especially when shipped a long distance. (example: Illinois to California.)  If  the amount  you see on the shipping automatic calculator doesn't seem correct, let us know and we will check the figure. The calculator is not always correct. Odd or large size items could require extra time for shipping research and packing.  Shipping weight is estimated, since the item has to remain available in case someone has a question.  We are usually accurate. You will pay the actual shipping charges or very close to it. Insurance is usually required, so please contact us before checking out, if for some reason you didn't see an option for insurance. We aren't responsible for items after they leave our possession. Once in awhile an ebayer will contact us because their item hasn't arrived. Almost every time it was at the post office waiting to be picked up. FYI: Higher insured amounts require a signature and will not be left on a porch. Occasionally a notification wasn't left or is lost. Items are not shipped until after we have received payment. Please keep a record of the date your payment was sent to us. Paypal is fast, but when was the Paypal payment actually made? If mailed, when did you actually mail it?  Also, payments can arrive up to a week (or more) after the postmark date on the envelope. Weekends and holidays also contribute to postal delays. Don't hesitate to call the post office and always feel free to contact us. If  you have a special reason for needing  the item extra quickly, let us know and we'll doing everything we can to get it to USPS as soon as possible. (However, we  normally do ship quickly).    About feedback: When your package has arrived safely, we would appreciate it very much if you would leave positive feedback for us. This will also tell us that the transaction has been successfully completed and we will quickly leave feedback for you also.  Problems are rare, but can occur. Please contact us, so that we can identify and resolve possible issues as quickly and honestly as possible. Email should always go thru eBay to avoid spam blocker problems.  We reply to all email that we have received. If you did not receive a reply, we either did not receive your message or perhaps our reply did not reach you. (Do you have a blocked or junk email folder that needs to be checked?) Some eBayers (especially newcomers to eBay) will quickly leave negative feedback as soon as they think there's a problem. Most eBay sellers are honest and will resolve a legitimate problem. Negative or neutral feedback should be the LAST RESORT, when all else fails. (eBay warns about this on the feedback page).
