Meet "Theo" a thirteen inch tall jointed teddy bear! He is made of a wonderful, soft ice-blue dense mohair with an heirloom feather finish. His paw pads, inside his ears and the soles of his feet are made of a similar mohair, but in a white color. He is a traditional style bear, with the longer arms & a slight hump on his back. His eyes are ebony safety eyes, while his nose is hand embroidered with a deep blue pearle cotton. He is jointed in his arms & legs and is stuffed with hypo-allergenic fiberfill. For those of you who aren't familiar with mohair, it is a wonderful, soft & extremely durable fabric made of the wool of angora goats. It is washed, combed and woven into a cotton backing in different densities...sparse, semi-sparse, semi-dense, dense and super dense. There are also many different lengths. Mohair is incredibly expensive, as it takes many steps to create, and there are currently only three manufacturers in the world that offer it for retail sale. There were four, but the Norton Mills in England recently shut down. This particular mohair came from there...I was fortunate enough to be able to buy a quantity of fabric from them before the stock was gone. With his whimsical expression and oh-so-soft fur, he is sure to bring many years of joy to the bear lover in your life, and even to the next generation!
