Description This auction is for the HOLY GRAIL in vintage Barbie collecting;  THE ORIGINAL VINTAGE BRUNETTE #1 PONYTAIL BARBIE!!! SHE IS IN NEAR-PERFECT CONDITION WITH ALL OF HER FLAWS DESCRIBED BELOW.She comes from my personal collection. I took these pictures outside in natural light with no flash. She will be sent with her Original black & white striped swimsuit, a pair of Original, white, open-toed shoes (with the post holes in them) and ONE (only) of a pair of the Original open-toed black shoes (with the holes for the posts). She does have some flaws and the swimsuit outfit needs to be re-stitched in a small area in the front. HER FLAWS:She has staining on ONE foot from a red shoe, long since removed and lost. The bottom of ONE of her feet is split where the word “JAPAN” appears and where the post-hole is located  (there is a shot of the split included). Her hair is in need of re-styling, but it is ALL THERE, just VERY MESSY!Her vinyl is faded as is characteristic of #1 Ponytail Barbies.HER ATTRIBUTES: SHE IS GORGEOUS! HER FACE IS FABULOUS!  SHE HAS THE WHITE IRISES. She has complete FACIAL MAKE-UP (I think she was hand-painted!). Her fingernail paint is 100% present! Her toenail paint is 100% present! She has the solid body marked Barbie TM. She has NO NOSE NIPS, NO NECK SPLITS, NO GREEN ANYWHERE, AND VERY TIGHT LIMBS.  She holds a pose PERFECTLY. Her right buttock is marked, “Barbie TM Pats Pend MCMLVIII by Mattel Inc”. Her foot is marked Japan. INCLUDED IN THIS SALE: ORIGINAL VINTAGE SWIMSUIT (which is in poor condition, as described).
