This Steiff has been autographed by a member of the Steiff family on the bottom of his right foot. The signature is of Hans Otto Steiff and his widow, Birget. Hans Otto passed away on New Year's Eve 1993. He measures almost 9” (23 cm) tall, has black glass eyes and a black stitched nose and mouth. His head, hands and feet are made of wonderful brown mohair. His ears are made of long, fluffy brown mohair. His green felt hat and clothing is his original Steiff hunter outfit including his shoulder strung rifle. Waldili still has his raised script button, with readable yellow tag # 7770.26 and his chest tag ”Waldili”. His head swivels and there's a squeaker in his tummy, but it no longer works. This sweet Waldili is in excellent condition! He comes from a non-smoking home. This would make a great gift or addition to any collection.   I have been advised by one collector that this Steiff may date between 1969 and 1978.  I'm not sure of that revised dating, but would value other collectors opinions.
