Description STEIFF SWAPL PERSIAN LAMB 50's VINTAGE  This adorable Black Persian Lamb is the large 28 cm size as shown in the Steiff Sortiments book on page 140, EAN #6328,0 or 6328,06 dating her between 1957 to 1960, but probably earlier rather than later. She is from a recently acquired vintage lot of 50's & 60's Steiff animals I will be listing over the coming weeks. Swapl Lamb is made from lovely black curly mohair with a pink handstitched V shaped nose and an open mouth lined with beige velvet.  She has amazing electric blue glass eyes, and her ears are black mohair short plush lined with beige velvet.  Her face is short black mohair plush with white surrounding her eyes. Her legs are unjointed. She is in excellent clean condition. Sadly, she is missing her chest tag, however, she has her raised script ear button!!!,.  There are no tears and no holes.  Originally she would have worn a silk ribbon, but she's left it behind somewhere.  A very lovely addition to your Vintage Steiff collection!  Please email me with any questions before bidding.
