The large Mother bears Ear Tag is marked 0155/38 on the front and "Made in W Germany LTD Ed 81. 56562. The set is part of a limited edition of only 8000 and is numbered 56562. Commemorates Steiff Teddy Bears of 1903 which are reproduced in limited editions to celebrate the 101st Anniversary of the House of Steiff.   Mother Bear stands about 14 inches tall (38mm). She made of very light brown Mohair , is holding her Baby bear and wears an Orange Ribbon Sash That reads "Margarete Steiff Ltd Edition Knopf Ohr". Her paws are made of felt and she has hand sewn nose and mouth. She is fully jointed as well.   Baby bear stands about 6 inches tall (15mm). Also made of very light brown Mohair. The paws are made of felt and he has hand sewn nose and mouth. He is fully jointed as well   Bears come with a letter of authenticity and come in original Steiff Box (opened). The box does show light shelf wear. Bears are in Mint condition and do not appear to have ever been displayed.
