The little girl, bareheaded and barefoot, curls up in a corner, lighting match after match to warm herself. In the flames she sees visions; in the final one, her grandmother appears and lifts the little girl into heaven. We are listing her at a very modest price with no reserve!  She has 87/5000 written on the back of her porcelain head.  She was acquired in an estate from an affluent woman in Chicago and we are quite sure that no children have played with her doll collection that we are listing.  Although she is listed as used, she is in like new condition.  The pictures describe her better than we can in words.  She has porcelain head, neck, forearms, hands, lower legs and feet.  The rest of her body is stuffed cloth.  Her clothing and accessories include a grey 3/4 sleeve cotton jumper with sewn on patches near the frayed hem, an ivory sleeveless blouse and pantaloons trimmed in ivory lace, a dusty rose colored burlap type fabric shawl, brown lace up suede boots, and is carrying a basket of matches in her left hand and is holding 3 matches in her right hand.her clothes are tagged "Seymour Mann".  She comes with her own box and 2 gold tags - one for Doll Care and the other states "A native of Ohio and graduate of the Art Academy of El Paso, Hal Payne is one of America's foremost artists.  Winner of the Dolls Award of Excellence and a favorite of collectors, Hal Payne has created this fabulous doll for the Seymour Mann Signature Series Collection.  This multi-talented artist, who usually works with wood, has for the first time designed a doll in porcelain.  Hal Payne is known for his talent to go beyond the ordinary and this doll is sure to be sought after for years."  We are listing a number of collectible dolls from this estate, so be sure to check them out!
