Produced by the highly-respected Robert Tonner Doll Company, these are exquisitely-detailed renderings of Superman. Produced in 1997, they were issued (separately) in a limited edition of only 500 pieces (each), and originally retailed for $495 (each). Both are long out of print and difficult to find. Superman stands 19" tall and is sculpted in the likeness of Christopher Reeve, though the costume is patterned after the George Reeves TV series. Lois is 17.5" tall, and utterly lovely. Both are skillfully sculpted, and come with cloth uniforms. Condition on both pieces is excellent, with no cracks, chips, or paint rubs. Beautiful items for the Superman collector. Designed by Robert Tonner in the 90's this limited edition doll is numbered at 262 out of 500 made,making this very rare. Also this doll has 14 points of articulation.
