Description
Here are 13 PIECES OF RENWAL DOLLHOUSE FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES. Included in this lot of thirteen are: bathtub, sink, scale, clock, vacuum cleaner, rocking chair, easy chair, buffet, ringer washer, two ironing boards, vanity and chest of drawers. Another piece, the toilet, doesn't quite match and may not be Renwal. Detailed descriptions appear below. Bedroom Chest and Vanity with Mirror: They look smaller scale than the "usual" Renwal. The chest is marked with Renwal number B35 (may be B85- tough to read) and measures 2"w x 3-3/16"h. There is cardboard backing on the piece; loose in one spot. The vanity is marked B32 (may be B82) and includes the mirror frame; the reflection material is gone from the clear plastic inside the frame, but that plastic is in good shape. It measures 2-1/2"w x 4"h. The paper of the cardboard backing is peeling on one corner. Both pieces are clean and ready to place in your vintage dollhouse. Ringer Washer and Two Ironing Boards: The ringer washer is marked with Renwal number 31 and measures 3-1/4"h x 1-7/8"w at legs. The bear decal has puckered some, but remains firmly attached. The ringer works with a turn of the handle! The tub lid is missing. The ironing boards are Renwal No. 32. Each measures 3-1/2"l x 1-7/8"h x 1-5/16"w. The legs fold flat for "storage". All three pieces are clean and ready to place in your vintage dollhouse. Vacuum, Scale, Clock: The vacuum cleaner is marked Renwal No. 37. It measures 3-1/4"h x 1-1/4"w. It has moveable features- how cool! The bathroom scale is marked Renwal No. 10. The dial is clean, but a bit dull in the very center of the plastic lense. These two pieces are clean and ready to be placed in your vintage dollhouse. The alarm clock is marked Renwal No. 8. It isn't in the best shape- moldy-looking under the lense and overall soiled. Still, it's useable on a dresser or vanity. Don't you just love accessories?! Colorful Rocking Chair: Its bright primary colors indicate to me that it might be a nursery room piece. It is marked with Renwal number 65 and measures 2-5/8"h x 1-5/8"w. The back of the bottom piece that makes the rocker rock (I am sure there is a real name for this!) has been broken off- both sides are broken off pretty evenly. It is not very noticeable and, unless you have little fairies living in your dollhouse, there won't be any danger of it tipping over backwards! The piece is clean and ready to place in your vintage dollhouse. Easy Chair: The easy chair marked with Renwal number L-76. It measures 2-1/2"h x 2-1/2"w at feet and 2-1/4"w arm to arm. The contrast from the pastel blue to the dark "wooden" legs is striking. Not visible in the picture is a tiny floral texture in the blue plastic. The piece is clean and ready to place in your vintage dollhouse. Buffet/Sideboard: The buffet (or sideboard, if that's what your family called it) is marked with Renwal number D54 and measures 3-1/8"w x 2-1/2"h. If there was cardboard backing on the piece, there no longer is. The piece is very clean and ready to place in your vintage dollhouse. There are some faint scratches on it, but most real furniture of this age has more wear and tear than this does! Bathtub and Sink: The bath tub, marked with Renwal number T95, measures 2-1/8"w x 4"l. The bathroom sink is marked with Renwal number T96 and measures 2-1/4"h x 2"w. If there was cardboard backing on the bottom of either piece, there no longer is. With a few exceptions, both pieces are very clean and ready to place in your vintage dollhouse. There are a few red marks on the inside of the sink pedestal which can't be seen when placed, and there are a few worn spots in the tub. The bonus piece (pictured toilet) is probably not Renwal and may be just smaller than the scale of the two Renwal pieces. It may be Ideal, but I can find no maker's mark. It originally had a lid, but that is no longer attached. If your dollhouse is anything like our real house, the lid is usually left up by our male-dominated household anyway! It measures 2"h x 1-3/8"w. We didn't pay attention to the Renwal name when we were having hours of fun with this furniture as children- now it's the mark to collect!
