ORIGINAL 1972 BLYTHE KENNER DOLL MEDIEVAL MOOD DRESS Start Price USD 1,200.00 Current Price USD 1,200.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, July 14, 2008 End Time Monday, July 21, 2008 Location Boston, Massachusetts See more about 'ORIGINAL 1972 BLYTHE KENNER DOLL MEDIEVAL MOOD DRESS' Description This is an original 1972 Kenner Blythe Doll in just beautiful condition.  She is wearing her original "Medieval Mood" dress and undergarment.  She came from an estate "attic clean-out" among a lady's daughter's old dolls and toys.  It appears to have been played with very little.  The only evidence that it had any handling is that her hair was back in a hair band and stored in this state over the years.  I have removed the hair band and her hair is most likely not falling in the same way it did before it was put in the band and could use a little fixing up. Some of the photos were taken when her hair was still in the hair band and some were taken after it was removed. Her hair is either black or a very very dark brown that is almost black.  I saw in original ads that the "brunette" is a much lighter brown than this Blythe, and in fact, I originally thought that her hair was black, but looking very closely, I am not sure if it is very dark brown.  It may be that the rare "black" haired Blythe was not actually a totally midnight black, but I do not know.  The mid-joint to her waist and legs looks perfect without a blemish or sign of any wear.  Her eyes change color when you pull the string.  She stands about 11 1/2" tall.  There is one flaw that I found and that is that one of the strands of the multi-strand rope around the waist of her dress is broken.  Shipping for this item is $7.50 with delivery confirmation tracking provided, insurance required.  Payment by personal check or money order, please.
