Description Love unusual bears?  Here's one-brand new and lovely.  It is "Olivia and Willow", a bear and kitten set.  I get my inspiration from lots of things.  This bear was inspired by a wonderful handknit scarf I got at a doll show.  I just loved the wild colors!  So I had to look through my stash of mohairs to see what would look good with it.  I absolutely LOVE the soft light grey German alpaca!  Then I found a great hand-dyed mohair to match one of the colors in the scarf.  I made the bear's head out of the alpaca, and body of mohair, with grey felt paw pads.  TA DA!  A bear was born.  Her name is Olivia.  She is fully jointed, 14" tall, with glass eyes and handstitched variegated perle cotton nose in many of the same colors as the scarf.  Then I had to find a pet to go with her.  (Lots of my bears have pets-just like me!)  Pussywillow was a wonderful match to the grey alpaca.  She is made by Simply Irresistible Co.  I just love her!  I added a nice bow, and gave her to Olivia.  It was love at first sight.  A match made in Heaven (er....Alabama).  The finishing touch was an irridescent butterfly hair clip for Olivia.  So what do you think?  Won't you give the lovely pair a home?  I have signed one of Olivia's paw pads.  Made in my no-smoking home by me-Susan Redstreake Geary (BEAR PAWS)-making original award winning artist bears for over 22 years.  Click on the links below for more photos.  Thanks for looking!  Note:  Olivia is not a toy-but an adult collectible.  Remember-Christmas is only a few months away!
