Made of polymer clay and then handpainted realistically, this head was made in 1983.  Collectible, since the artist is no longer making miniatures due to ill health.  Artist mark and date on back.  The artist used to have a miniature wildlife museum with many sculptures like this one.  It is 6 inches from ear tip to ear tip. stands out from the wall about 2 3/4 inches and is 5 inches from top of head to bottom of trunk. Due to the age of the sculpture, the clay is fragile. Of course, I will try to pack it as carefully as possible, but no guarentee is given as to the condition of the ears or tusks on arrival.
