It is a spectacular reproduction of a horse barn or stable. It comes on a large base so you can enjoy decorating or playing all around the front and the back of this beautiful piece. The barn is about 6-7 years old. It was custom built by a cabinet maker for a child's Christmas gift. The original cost to have this built was around $1200. The child was very into horses at the time and after receiving it would spend hours arranging and rearranging her horses and tack throughout this stable. Times change and children grow, so it is time for this amazing gift to make another child's dream come true.The barn measures 27" across the large side and 21 1/2" across the end side. It is 27 1/2" high at the peak and 10 1/2" from the bottom of the roof to the base. The base is 30" by 45 1/2" by 2" tall. It is fully electrified.The first side of the stable (shown in the gallery photo) has a hinged door and two windows at the bottom. Above that are the doors that go into the loft area and another window. The cabinet maker took care to weather the window panes and light fixtures to make them look more authentic.The second side where the roof is lower has two windows and two sliding barn doors. There are two ramps in front of the doors that are removable.The third side has a hinged door with metal handle and two windows at the bottom with another window up in the peak. The fourth side has 4 large hinged barn doors with a light fixture hanging above. If you look carefully at the roof you will see the outline of a door that opens to reveal the loft or upstairs portion of the barn. The flap is large enough to place objects through it to decorate the top floor. Inside you will still find remnants of hay which give the barn a more cozy and authentic appeal. There are separate stables inside with feeding troughs, lights, wooden tables, a ladder to the loft, and even a door with metal bars. The tiny hinges on the doors is a fantastic detail. I have included as many photos as I could. This would make a spectacular Christmas gift for someone this year, or even a wonderful treat for yourself.
