Merrythought TUFTY | Vintage 60s | One of a Kind | RARE Start Price GBP 50.00 Current Price GBP 82.00 Time Left - Bid Count 2 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, August 03, 2008 End Time Sunday, August 10, 2008 Location Liverpool, Merseyside See more about 'Merrythought TUFTY | Vintage 60s | One of a Kind | RARE' Description    MERRYTHOUGHT   Tufty One of a Kind     27 Inches Tall     A very large vintage version of Tufty from the RoSPA Road Safety Tufty Club.   As we had little information about this we decided to contact Merrythought direct.  Their Archivist came back to us and said this was not a pattern which was put into general production and therefore would conclude that it was produced as a promotional/display item for the Tufty Club and was more than likely 'one of a kind'.   Considering it's age Tufty is still in fairly good condition.  The clothing is all made of felt but the jacket appears to have suffered most (see pictures) because the felt has faded over the years, which probably lends weight to the theory that it was used as a display item and has been in the sunlight for a prolonged period.  There are also a few signs of deterioration/wear on the coat and the seam around the sole of one of the boots is also a little thin.   The fur on the head, hands and the fluffy ears and tail are in very good condition and he has handpainted eyes.   We hope that the pictures will speak for themselves but if you have any questions or require additional pictures then please don't hesitate to contact us and we will do all we can to oblige.         We cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items once posted.
