Beautifully handsculpted polymer clay doll (different from the resin part miniature in that each doll's face is individually sculpted, whereas the resin face is poured from a mold) with authentic features and characteristics, making the ideal addition to every collector's entourage. Elf House is crafted at 1":1' scale. This collector's gem, is a Marcia Backstrom original. The figure's construction: stainless steel wired resin parts (only limbs in the handsculpted doll such as this one), polymer clay covered understructure, adhesively applied clothing, and oven baked. The figure is molded to embody the personality of the character through a posing process prior to the oven baking phase, which gives Elf House their real-life pose. Marcia's work is exhibited the world over, in places such as: the Puppenhausmuseum in Switzerland, the Toy and Miniatures Museum of Kansas City, the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls, and Toys, at the U.S. Supreme Court Museum, and many others. Marcia is a member of the I.G.M.A. (International Guild of Miniature Artisans).
