THE FENDER IS A MERE  3-1/4"l x 1/2"h (to top of finials), YET IT HAS ALL THE DETAIL OF A FINE LIFE SIZE PIECE. THE BODY IS MADE OF BRASS, WITH AN ELABORATE PIERCED AND EMBOSSED DECORATION. INCREDIBLE ATTENTION WAS PAID TO THE DETAIL FROM THE TOP OF ITS TINY FINIALS TO THE BOTTOM OF ITS TINY BRASS PAW FEET. THE PIECE DATES TO THE EARLY 2Oth CENTURY, POSSIBLY EARLIER. THE PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, PARTICULARLY GIVEN ITS AGE. IT HAS NO APPARENT DINGS, LOSSES OR REPAIRS.
