They come with their mint box and their original Certificate of Authenticity and registration card. This is an extremely hard set to find I’m told with the Geppetto sitting in the chair and Pinocchio does not have stirrings and low number and is a Series II. The workmanship and detail is perfect and true to the perfection that R John Wright puts into every one of his characters. This Geppetto and Pinocchio were a limited addition it the early 1990’s and only 250 sets were produced. I think the Disney character like the Pinocchio, Geppetto and Snow White and the Seven Dwarf were only sold at Disneyland and though the R John Wright Company. The end of the box reads, Walt Disney Geppetto & Pinocchio Series II Traditional 053 / 250 R John Wright Dolls Inc. Playful & Exquisitely Crafted Toys Cambridge New York. The box is perfect with the original packing material inside so Geppetto, Pinocchio and the chair fit perfectly . Geppetto is 18" tall and still has his booklet tied to his arm and Pinocchio is 9" tall and perfect. Geppetto has the original RJW brass button in his vest and his original paper tag attached to his pants that reads the same as the end of the box along with the same number 53 / 250. Pinocchio has his original RJW brass button imbedded in the heel of his shoe and it also reads 53 / 250 The Walt Disney Company. Geppetto is all felt and perfect. He is jointed at the necks and shoulders and his face is amazing. He really does look like the Disney Geppetto with his big rosy nose, cheeks and dimples. His painted eyes are fabulous and his original mustache and mohair wig is perfect. His original felt cloths are perfect right down to this stockings and shoes. Pinocchio's original cloths, hair and hat are prefect. His coloring is marvelous and the detail to his face and body is wonderful and his painted features are excellent. He is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. They come with their original Certificate of Authenticity showing the same number as on the box, tag and brass buttons and is dated Dec. 15, 1994. It also comes with the original registration card for you to fill out and adopt them properly. This set also comes with the original R John Wright Chair that is perfect. I think the chair was only sold with the Pinocchio and Geppetto sets and it's the same number and is marked under the seat 53/500. It has 2 metal buttons imbedded in the bottom, one is the RJW brass button and then other says ANRI. This set is absolutely outstanding and a rare to find and would make a fabulous addition to any R John Wright collection or vintage Pinocchio or Disney collection. This marvelous, early, MINT in original box, large set of the R John Wright 18" Geppetto with RJW Chair and 9" Pinocchio seems to sell when you can find them for around $4000.00 but my reserve less so don't let them get away.
