Handcrafted French Dress Shop 1:12 scale, one of a kind Start Price USD 79.99 Current Price USD 91.04 Time Left - Bid Count 4 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, July 04, 2008 End Time Friday, July 11, 2008 Location Gypsum, Kansas See more about 'Handcrafted French Dress Shop 1:12 scale, one of a kind' Description This charming little French dress shop is definately one-of-a-kind!  Built in 1:12 scale of plywood, completely handcrafted, and named "Le Couturiere".  The exterior features 2 bay windows and a printed door that reads "Le Couturiere"; the address is "618 Aiguille Court".  Striped awning in gold, tan and blue matches the exterior trim.  The door is a little sticky-may be due to all of the rain we have had here (I will see if I can remedy that).  White metal scrolls accentuate the exterior curved sign.  There is a hinged glass top for viewing, and a standard night light for illumination.  The interior is a light turquoise blue, with rich creamy trim.  One wall holds a "mirror" with an antique french finish; the other wall is meant for the free-standing dress form.  It stands about 4" high and is on a magnetized vintage button for stabilization.  The back wall features a "mirrored" center section flanked by 2 shelving units to hold all of your fabrics, thread spools, etc.  The shelves are papered with coordinating paper; white scrolls accent the 3 bottom panels.  The floor is hand-designed with a blue motifs checkerboard design.  The 2 bay windows are dressed in their finest with vintage lace and beaded tiebacks.  White scrolls embellish the wooden valances, the panels below the windows and also above the door.  The dress forms in the bays are the same as the freestanding one; also on magnetized vintage buttons for stability.  Poufs of fabric surround them at the base.  The dress forms themselves are handcrafted; they vary some in shape and size, but all are about 4" high and covered with stretchy white lace.  I designed them to hold your prized doll dresses without falling over.
