BING COMPANY   This is a very special bear; A miniaturized replica of a very old Bing Bear. The story behind  The Bing Company is  a wonderful and remarkable tale.Until the early 1930's they were the largest Toy manufacturer in the world but were forced out of business during World War 2. In 1992 Eric Kluge was travelling on business in the United States. A local radio station was interviewing him about a unique bear he had just repaired. Shortly after the show Eric received a phone call from an elderly lady who had been listening to the radio. She asked if he was interested in seeing some very old teddy bear patterns originating from her younger days in Nuremberg, Germany. That elderly lady was Frau Sarah Neumann whose birthname was Bing! Eric was overwhelmed with surprise when he visited Sarah. She pulled out very old teddy bear patterns that had been cut out from old German newspapers. An immediate 'deal' was made and in 1994 Gebr. Bing was reborn. Today many of the old classic bears are reborn and Eric also works very closely with many famous names to produce some very collectible bears eg. Levi Strauss, Swarovski and Gucci.I hope you enjoyed this little tale as I thought it was worth mentioning. Now back to this beautiful bear.She stands at 13cm tall and is made out of a gorgeous cream coloured German mohair. She proudly wears a genuine teddy bear brooch made by SWAROVSKI. She has leather pawpads with BING writing on one and Minillennia on the other, on one 'hand' paw it has 2000.She is fully jointed and will be displayed in a perpex box. She also comes with a certificate of Authenticity with the Limited Edition Number of only 94 (500 were made worlwide but only a small quantity was ever imported into Australia). This Bing Bear is in Mint Condition!     Bing bears are highly collectible and a fine example of the German Craftmanship. This Auction is for one bear ONLY the cream coloured bear in the picture.I have got the pink coloured bear listed in another auction this week.                     Postage within Australia is  only $5.50 and any additional miniature is  FREE of postage costs.
