The dollhouse was reviewed by the Great American Dollhouse Museum and the museum stated this dollhouse is the Tiffany of Dollhouses for the dollhouse collector.  The scale is such that a collector can use antique German dollhouse furniture because of the grand scale of the dollhouse.  Please check their website www.thedollhousemuseum.com for information about true collector items.  This museum is truly an asset to the dollhouse collector. Pugsworld is selling this Lawbree French-Georgian Country Mansard Roof Mansion Dollhouse for a client who needs to liquidate some of their collection.  Wow, this is the Aaron Spelling of dollhouses.  What a magnificent dollhouse this is!!  Great for a collector, business, real estate office or hobby shop.  This is a great display centerpiece for your collection or business.  The detail and dimensions are amazing.  I believe it to be 1/12th scale dollhouse.  It is made of 5/8” birch plywood of the highest quality.  The platform is solidly constructed and measures 26” deep by 65” long and is constructed of ¾” by 1½ molding.  The paving is made to look like paving stones and is textured.  The shingles are wood but look like real slate.  The house measures as follows: 37.5” tall to roof, add another 2” to the chimney tops; the four main rooms measure as follows: lower main rooms are 12” high x 16.5” wide x16” deep.  Upper main rooms measure 11” high x 16.5” wide x 16” deep.  The main entry measures 11” high x 10” wide x 16” deep.  The attic area measures 45” wide x 16.5” deep x 11.5” tall and is pitched at the front.  The side wings measure 11.5” high x 9.5” wide x 22” deep and the roof comes off and also opens and is hinged.  There has no staircase but an opening has been cut for one.  The widows have real glass set into them as well as the doors.  All the window and doors are set with tape so they can be removed.  The 3 fan windows have no glass.  There are few dings and some missing shingles.  One of the window sills on the left wing back is missing and there is molding missing on the gutter area of the opposite wing.  Any of these blemishes can be easily fixed and touched up by a skilled miniaturist or hobbyist.  I have pictures so please ask for them.  I have many more pictures available.   Check Pugsworld's auctions for other great gift items.
