Description
FRANKLIN HEIRLOOM~MRS ELLEN O'HARA~MOTHER GWTW DOLL MIB FRANKLIN HEIRLOOM DOLLS ~MRS. ELLEN O’HARA~ I’m so pleased to offer this beautiful and rare collector’s doll from the Franklin Mint. Presenting…Mrs. Ellen O’Hara as portrayed by actress Barbara O’Neill in MGM’s classic movie Gone With the Wind. “Mrs. Ellen O’Hara” by the Franklin Mint is an authentic portrayal of Mrs. O’Hara as she appeared during the opening scenes of the film. She is costumed in an elegant gown of navy taffeta with a detailed bodice trimmed with bands of ebony velvet and gold buttons. The gown’s under sleeves are sewn of sheer white batiste, and trimmed with black velvet and golden buttons. Mrs. O’Hara’s cage-style hoop skirt is spectacular and not only gives the gown it’s lush fullness, the authenticity is breathtaking. Black satin pantalets and painted black shoes also look lovely. This priceless collector’s doll has elegant drop faux-pearl earrings and a matching faux cameo pin at her throat. Her hair is intricately styled in twists and curls, and is neatly tucked into a hairnet/snood. The hand painted makeup is absolutely beautiful. Tiny, delicate brush strokes are used for the eyebrows and the dress-matching steel blue for her eye color gives her an elegant, calm gaze. Just the type of gaze worthy of a plantation owner’s wife. Mrs. Ellen O’Hara is 19” tall and made of fine bisque porcelain with a soft body. Her huge hoop skirt (when properly displayed) measures approximately 20” in diameter. She is in mint condition. Never displayed and removed only for the pictures. (Even her earrings had never been unwrapped!) She comes in her original box with display stand, hang tag, hairnet and Certificate of Authenticity. I will ship her in the original outer shipper box that she still has! The Franklin Mint tissue paper is crumpled and torn. Please note that insurance is required on this valuable item. A true collector’s dream to find this extremely rare doll and in mint condition! Note: Free shipping with Buy It Now applies to United States ONLY. Not sure? Have a question? Why wonder, when you can know? Ask me…I’ll be happy to help. Welcome international buyers! I value your business. Please contact me for a quote on your shipping charge and do not use the calculator. Note that I will only use the actual value on the customs forms, and you must please wait for an invoice from me with your correct international shipping charge before sending your payment. Check out my store for other beautiful porcelain dolls and collectibles for young and old. Stop by often…the door’s always open and you never know what will show up next! Thanks for looking, and good luck! I accept Paypal, money order, or cashier's check. If you are paying by money order or cashier's check, please let me know immediately, and mark the item as "payment sent" once you've done so. I do expect payment by Paypal within 48 hours of the item's end. I love to combine invoices and save you money shipping! If you receive an invoice from me and you'd like to continue shopping, just let me know, and when you're done...I'll combine! Thanks! If you're like me, once you make a purchase, you want your item right away! That's why I ship within 24 hours of receiving your cleared payment...sometimes even the same day. Your bid or the use of Buy It Now indicates that you have read the entire auction, asked all questions, and agree to pay the shipping charges (see shipping calculator). Insurance is recommended but not required. By choosing not to insure your shipment, you will be responsible in the event of loss or damage during shipping. I love what I do and I care about my customers. So why are my items sometimes priced higher? I carefully photograph the items for my auctions and store and give you many to look at. You are viewing the actual item. Never a stock photo. I do my best to accurately represent the colors of each item, however, color accuracy will be affected from one monitor to the next and the best photographs cannot replace the richness and charm of the actual item. You'll find my descriptions very detailed and (hopefully) creative. Why? Unlike mall shopping, you can't actually touch, turn, and inspect your item...until it arrives. I've done my best to eliminate the "worry factor" and make your shopping experience carefree and fun! All this takes time and costs a bit more to do, but when you buy from Linda's Little Luxuries, you're buying quality and peace of mind. As soon as your item arrives and you're satisfied, let me know (and others) by posting feedback for me and I'll gladly reciprocate! My goal is 100% satisfaction. In the unlikely event that there is a problem, kindly contact me immediately so I can resolve the issue before feedback is posted. Communication is the key to a successful transaction. I make no claims of expertise in any of the items sold. If I have left out some important information, contact me and I'll be happy to answer. Please ask all questions before bidding or using Buy It Now. Be sure to allow enough time for me to respond. Submit your questions at least 24 hours before the auction's end.
