It is very popular and will be hard to obtain later in the season.   This special edition begins with a wooden faux mahogany toy box full of treasures from the past. The box is wood and reddish brown in color.  It is 9 inches wide, 6 inches deep and 5 ½ inches high. The word TOYS is painted in metallic gold on the front. The Boyds paw print logo and the name Boyds is in gold on the lid of the box.  The box has some mild faux wear as you would expect from a well loved item.   The hinged top opens to show the goodies inside. There is a 7 ½ inch brown knitted bear with brown felt paw pads and a dark green flannel bow around his neck. He is knitted with a fuzzy yarn with a texture similar to mohair. He is a very handsome bear with a sweet face.   The box also includes a vintage wooden spinner top that is precious.  The top is approximately 5 inches tall. It looks just like an antique toy with just the right amount of wear.  It is red, green and natural wood. The top is great!   There is a sweet rag doll with yellow yarn hair – just like dolls of yesteryear. She has an embroidered face and pig tails. The doll is wearing a green and tan plaid dress and a tan floral lace trimmed apron.  Of course she has muslin bloomers. This 8 inch doll is priceless.   There is a quilted and embroidered pillow in the box.  It is 3 inches wide and 4 ½ inches tall.  It is lightly stuffed.  The border is quilted with red, green and brown checked fabric.  The front of the pillow is beige with the words, “Olde Friends” embroidered in dark brown.   Toy Box of Friendship and Memories is adorable.  It is a very special and a great collection of memories from the past! It would be a great addition to your collection and a wonder gift.
