She is a fully jointed and poseable rusty brown bear with a touch of bean filling. Adeline stands ten inches high. Adeline Homespun has calico paw pads. She is from a new collection of Boyds Bears, The Quiltin’ Bee Bears Collection. This collection is a celebration of friendship and love as told through the art of quilt making.    Adeline Homespun is a rusty brown bear with a very sweet face.  She has print paw pads and a matching ear bow which matches the fabrics in her beautiful quilt block. The print has a light tan background with tiny gold and red flowers with green leaves. She is very proud of her Nine Patch Block Friendship Star Quilt Block she is holding.    Although the 9 Patch Friendship Block dates back to the 1700’s the actual origin of the design is somewhat vague.  Folklore hold that as people moved away from their homesteads, they were often given a friendship block quilt to remind them of their family and friends back home. The square is comprised of nine quilted patches with triangles that form a star. There is an adorable bumble bee button attachment to the block.  The history of the block is included on her tag.   Adeline Homespun is a beautiful bear with a very sweet face and wonderful quilt block.  She would be a wonderful addition to your collection or a gift for someone very special.
