Beaver Valley, Hallie, 84 Kaylee Nilan, LE, 36 inches Start Price USD 279.99 Current Price USD 284.99 Time Left - Bid Count 2 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, July 03, 2008 End Time Thursday, July 10, 2008 Location El Dorado Hills, CA See more about 'Beaver Valley, Hallie, 84 Kaylee Nilan, LE, 36 inches ' Description Up for auction is “Hallie," from Beaver Valley(TM).  This rare, beautiful limited edition bear was designed in 1984 by Kaylee Nilan, a well-known and respected bear artist from Etna, California.  Beaver Valley bears were recreated with explicit detail and precision; they were thoroughly researched by Nilan and husband Jeff Trager before any production began.  Beaver Valley bears are no longer in production.  Hallie, den mother of the Bear family, is number 19 of 200.  She is named for the first woman fire lookout in the Etna area national forest.  She is numbered and signed by the artist on the bottom of the right paw.  Hallie, a California Black Bear, is a companion piece to Cyrus.  She has a mouth which opens and closes, and eyes, nose, teeth, tongue, palate and claws which are handcast.  A tooth on the bottom is broken, but all claws are intact.  She is fully jointed with wooden armatures.  She measures 36 inches tall.  She is dressed in a red wool skirt over a white ruffled petticoat.  Her white cotton blouse with full gathered sleeves has lace edged collar and cuffs.  She is also wearing a red and white apron and red plaid bow.  We have added a small silver teddy bear pin to the bow.  The skirt has some moth holes which are not visible under the apron and the blouse and apron are somewhat yellowed from age, but the clothes can be removed for cleaning.  Hallie is in excellent condition.  She has been displayed and stored in a smoke-free environment.
