She has pierced ears and a brunette human hair wig in long ringlet curls and her original cork pate. Her bisque head is free from any hairlines, cracks or restoration. She is a reclame, meaning that Jumeau made the doll then used an acid wash to remove the mark on the back of the head so the doll could be sold under a different name. You can still see part of the Jumeau mark and the artists red tickmarks. She is on a french composition and wooden full-jointed body, which is not marked. The body is in excellent condition and still has its original finish. This doll dates to roughly 1890. She has antique undergarments and wears a lavish tan silk dress with antique lace overlay and fabulous matching shoes and hat. The hat is a work of art: trimmed with lots of feathers and silk rosettes. She is a darling doll. Layaway is available with $400 down provided the remainder is paid in 10 monthly payments or less.
