Description I am selling my friends mothers doll. She had this for years as part of her special doll collection. The doll is a large composition we believe. She measures a large 42 inches from toes to head. The body is 32 inches by itself.The doll body would date aprox. early 1900's. She was restrung back in the 1980's. She was touched up then we believe by a professional doll restorer in the tri cities. So her coloring is very nice.. She is the size of a real child.The makers name was acidentaly covered up. We belive the body to be Handwerck, but the markings were coverd up?????.Condition is great with minor wear.. The head is not original. It is a hand signed Barabara Carroll head marked A 19 M.. The head was made in 1988. So we have an old German body with a newer head. This is one of the largest dolls that we have seen listed on ebay. We believe the body to be a hard comp, but may be wooden.Not sure?????? I will try to answer questions..... This was appraised many years ago for $2500.00 so it would be much more by now. The appraisal was lost when her mother passed away. So we do not have it any longer.She is being sold as is to a new home who will love and care for her....
