BEAUTIFUL 19" ANTIQUE FRENCH BISQUE HEAD MYSTERY DOLL Start Price USD 9.99 Current Price USD 2,500.00 Time Left - Bid Count 23 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, November 18, 2008 End Time Friday, November 28, 2008 Location CLEAR LAKE TEXAS See more about 'BEAUTIFUL 19" ANTIQUE FRENCH BISQUE HEAD MYSTERY DOLL ' Description My pictures say it all with this very pretty face.  This gorgeous antique 19" French girl is a real mystery to me.  She is incised only with an 8 on the back of her bisque head and I see no other marks.  She has a beautiful pale complexion with no mars or imperfections, really nice and smooth and guaranteed perfect.  Her head is fine pressed bisque with a very thin crown that you see on the best early French dolls.  Painting is gorgeous with the thick brown eyebrows, mauve eyeshadow and a mouth that resembles an early Steiner to me and is a soft coral and exceptionally painted.  She has pierced ears with blue bead earrings and has a most unusual body as well.  Eight-ball body resembles a Schmitt body with the straight wrists and looks like it might have a mark on the bottom that I am showing in the picture. She is dressed in a darling vintage wool mariner's outfit that consists of three pieces including a cream linen blouse with blue trim, a navy blue wool skirt and a matching navy blue mariners blouse with the signature collar complete with white trim and sailor collar and matching navy blue beanie with matching white trim and red pom-pom on top.  On her bodice is a darling little gold and lapis lazalee pin that completes her outfit.  Complete underwear ensemble including slip and pantaloons are also included. On her feet are antique socks with vintage shoes that look great with her outfit.  I have a very reasonable reserve on this gorgeous French doll.   On Nov-25-08 at 20:37:14 PST, seller added the following information:I WANTED TO CLARIFY THAT HER SHOES ARE ANTIQUE JUMEAU SHOES.  I MISSED THIS VERY IMPORTANT POINT AND WAS NOT AWARE THAT THEY ARE MARKED WITH THE INCISED DEPOSE BEE ON THE LEATHER SOLES.  SHOES ARE A BEIGE SILK WITH LITTLE RIBBONS AT THE TOE AND ALSO COME TO YOU WITH ANTIQUE BROWN SOCKS.  Place a Bid!
