Antique Doll Collection Lot Kestner Parian A&M Bergmann Start Price USD 4,500.00 Current Price USD 4,500.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, May 15, 2008 End Time Thursday, May 22, 2008 Location Denver, Colorado See more about 'Antique Doll Collection Lot Kestner Parian A&M Bergmann' Description   I am selling my grandmother's doll collection.  They were originally my grandma's and then were passed down to my mom and now to me.  Unfortunately my grandfather has Alzheimer's and was conned out of his life savings and is in financial need so I must sell them.     I do not know anything about dolls but have tried to figure out what they are based on their markings and by a friend's Aunt.  My friend's Aunt estimated their book value to be approx. $9500.00.  Starting from left to right, there are two dolls from China (they say 1937 on their tags), a Kestner Dep.10.195 in the pink dress with fur eyebrows, a 32" unmarked doll, a Kestner Dep.154 with the teal blue dress and hat, a doll with the peach dress and hat is marked H (with the H having curved outside edges) with an 8/0 in the lower part of the H and above 26 5 with the 5 being underlined, a baby doll unmarked (head is badly cracked...I don't know if she is worth anything....I didn't account for anything for her/him but just included with the bunch), a Parian Lady doll with earings, an A&M  Armand Marseille 390n DR.G.M. 246/1 A.8.M. doll with the yellow dress and hat.  The doll to the right of her is a C.M Bergmann BBI Germany with the purple dress and hat.  The doll in front of them with the blue dress says Ruth E on the back of her neck.  The two couples to the right of them are Baby Doe and her husband and Molly Brown and her husband.  The doll behind them is William Shakespeare by Brenda Price.  There is also a baby doll is Georgene Averill 1005/3652 /4 that I forgot to include in the picture.  There are also approx. 52 vintage dolls!!  There is also a pair of Ann luree Porcelain Doll Legs and Arms.  The dolls range from 3" to 18" and are from England, Mexico, Peru, The Republic of Ireland, Greece, the Ozarks, Tahiti, a Mexican Wedding Girl.  There are some Apache Dolls and Seminole Indian Dolls.  Most are made of cloth.  There are a few plastic, a few yarn, 1 wood, 1 ceramic and the rest are made of materials I am not quite sure what they are.  Most are in good condition.  A couple are in fair condition...there is an indian doll in the front row (3rd from the right) that is missing a head and one plastic doll's face is cracked and another doll's cheek is indented.  There are also two EFFANBEE Dolls - Mark Twain and Abraham Lincoln.  They are in good condition except Abe Lincoln's tie is no longer attached and both dolls are faded on their front sides.  There is also a wooden goat that is covered with some kind of real fur.   Please email me for more pictures and for more information.  Since I am not very familiar with dolls, I am not quite sure on what a collector is looking for.  The Brenda Price doll in in Mint Condition, the Georgene Averill doll is in near mint condition (there are just a couple of spots on her dress), some of the other dolls outfits are faded. They come from a smoke-free home!! I am estimating s/h costs to be $250 as they need to be shipped in a few boxes.  If I overestimate the cost to ship, I will refund the extra.  Insurance would be extra.   All items are GUARANTEED to be 100% AUTHENTIC!
