Start Price USD 585.00 Current Price USD 585.00 Time Left - Bid Count 1 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, July 01, 2008 End Time Tuesday, July 08, 2008 Location Wheaton, IL See more about '23 1/2in.Antique Parian Doll-Stunning Face-Fancy Plate' Description This is a 23 1/2 inches tall,  beautiful parian which dates from the 1860s-70s. Her head shoulder plate measures about 6 1/2 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide. She is a rare treat because she has so many desirable qualities.  First, she is a fine quality parian with crisply modeled features and fine painting.  She has a fancy blond hairdo and brown eyebrows.  Her blue eyes have black iris and are outlined in black.  There is a white dot right outside the iris and there is a red line over the tops of the eyes.  Her nostrils have been painted with a soft pinkish color which is also the color of her lips.  There is a darker line in between the lower and upper lip.  Her cheeks have a wonderfully delicate soft blush on them.  Her body appears to be older but not as old as the doll.  Notice the difference in color on the feet.  Also note the individually stitched toes. Arms are replacements.      Her decorated plate features textured dots around the collar and also down the front of the blouse.  She has a bow tie and blue trim down the front of the plate and around the back.  Head and plate have NO repairs, cracks or restorations.  She wears what is most likely her original blue earrings which are in lovely condition.       She wears antique petticoat and pantaloons beneath her antique gown.  The gown has cuffs on the sleeves which are trimmed in the blue-gray trim found on the front edges of the gown and around the gathered pocket and collar. This gown appears to be entirely hand stitched with beautiful tiny stitches and is slightly gathered in the back to give it a fuller look.  She wears antique pinkish open weave socks and newer shoes.  She is ready to show, listed for a great price and will make a stellar addition to any collection.       I do sell internationally and accept payment through pay pal.  Stateside I also accept check or money order.  Please feel free to ask questions and thank you for the look.
