Steiff "FOX"  with reddish brown mohair stands 10cm (4"T) was produced 1950-57. "Fox" has his raised script button and full numbered  yelllow stock tag #1310,0. Mohair black feet and black mohair accent the outside of his ears. Nice FULL bushy tail! Steiff "XORRY" SEATED Fox also 10cm (4"Tall) is a completely different look. Made during the 1960's "Xorry" has his incised button in his ear and a perfect Bear Fac "Xorry" chest tag. His ears are  pointed and much larger than the earlier fox. The one you have there if incised button would have only been made about 1 - 2 years, during 1968 to 1970. It has a bear-face chest tag ("pendant") so pre-1972. I have never seen any later than 1970.
