Description I am pleased to offer this very special piece for your consideration.   Rare Steiff Polar Bear, produced in 1909.   FF Button in ear.  He is approximately 12" when all stretched out, and around 9" when on all 4s (with his nose pointing downward). He is not mint, but his condition is very good. Some scattered wear, the worst being a dime-size bald spot on the right side of his body (see last photo) There is an extra stitch of thread over his nose, and this does look original to me. Finding good Steiff these days is nearly impossible... and this is a goodie ! Layaways are accepted with a 25% non-refundable deposit, and up to 6 months to pay.
