Angels of Delight Nursery Introduces to you Tommy Created by Reborn Artist Elna Loopstra ~Reborn - June 14th, 2008~~Length - 18 Inches~ ~Weight - 4lb 6oz~~Eyes - Closed~~Hair - Medium Brown~~Eye Lashes - Medium Brown~ Hand Rooted~Eyebrows - Soft Brown~~Limbs - Three Quarter Arms and Legs~~Limited Edition no134/300 by Tamie Yarie~ The beginningI absolutely adored working with this delightful and exremely realistic sculpt called ''Andon'' by the very talented artist, Tamie Yarie.  I just could not resist reborning this sculpt as a boy.  That little face could melt anybody's heart.  Tamie's sculpts are amazing to work with and, as you can undoubtedly see in the photos, are extremely realistic.  He is now my gorgeous Baby Boy, Tommy.Tommy's truly realistic ''real life'' complexion was achieved through the use of Genesis heat-set paints.  His colors will never fade.The lifelike mottled effect of his skin was achieved through multiple layers of subtle shading over a period of time.  It is my own technique that is constantly evolving as I strive to create the most lifelike babies possible.Every little crease and fold of Tommy's head and limbs have been detailed, blushed and shaded to achieve realism.  Tommy has got soft veins painted on his face and limbs.  Never too bold as to overshadow his amazing ''real life'' complexion. BodyTommy has been given a brand new doe suede cloth body, custom designed, and is in perfect proportion to his head and limbs. His body has been filled with soft fiberfill that will never clott and glass pelletts. Tommy's body is soft and cuddly and has been realistically weighted.  Once you pick him up, you just can't put him down.Tommy's limbs have been filled with glass granules and have also been weighted to perfection.His head has been weighted with just the right amount of glass pellets and needs a little support when he is picked up, just like a real baby.    HairTommy's hair has been Micro Rooted by hand with Medium Brown Premium Angora Mohair that I imported from the US. His hair can be gently combed, styled and washed with the aid of a little water and baby shampoo, as it has been glued on the inside on his head.His eyelashes have also been glued on the inside of his head to ensure they stay in place. Nose, Mouth & EyesI gently opened Tommy's little nostrils and backed it with dark felt to create even more depth and realism.  His lips have a lovely soft realistic color and matches his complexion perfectly. Tommy has a magnetic pacifier/dummy to sooth him when he gets lonely.  Please let me know if you wish to have the magnets removed from Tommy and his pacifier, as they are strong and could effect appliances, computers and pace makers. NailsTommy's petit little nails were given a baby manicure and pedicure. First I applied a matte sealer as a base and the tips were painted white. Another 2 coats of matte sealer was then applied for durability. His nails now have a tender fresh clipped look.
