Please meet Old Harry, who I always called “Mr. Buttons," until I found his artist hangtags this morning.  Old Harry was made by Barbara Conley of Roley Bears. Barbara is well known for her attention to detail and for her ability to create very traditional and sweet faced teddy bears. Old Harry, who is very young at heart, was made from ivory mohair and he boasts black Pearle cotton nose and claws, wool felt paw pads and premium German glass eyes. Old Harry is approximately 14” tall and he has one of the sweetest expressions ever! He is a wonderful example of the time-honored traditional teddy, with a teddy hump on his back and long arms – the better to hug you with! Old Harry was stuffed with excelsior and I still see him as a lovely bear who will enhance any collection of fine bruins. He has worn his sweater since the day he came to live with me, although I did purchase it separately, and it will go with him. Altogether, a lovely and very dear ted! Old Harry was made in 1999 and I am his original owner. He is in guaranteed pristine condition from my non-smoking home, which also has pet-free areas where my bears and dolls reside. He has his artist sewn-in labels and Old Harry weighs 1.3 pounds.
