Eye Strung GINNY "Bobsy" 8-6C click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge We are offering a special strung Vogue Ginny doll from our collection. She is contained in her original box & is from 1949, #8-6C "Bobsy". She is wearing a flocked (dotted) organdy dress & matching bonnet and panties. Dress is tagged and crisp. Box reads "Toddler, ? and Bobsy when viewing with a magnifying glass. As is typical these labels faded and more often than not are very hard to read. The box is in good shape with alittle fading and discoloration and a split in the edge of the lid but is still all intact. This box has the embosed hearts, ribbons & flowers and alittle writing on the lid.Bobsy is all original (except she appears to have been restrung; typical that the rubberbands gave way over the years). She has beautiful factory original painted brows/lashes, blue eyes and peach lips. She has a nice soft pink blush to her cheeks; NO redo's! Lashes on the right may be ever so slightly lighter but visible & seems quite typical of this era doll; most would probably not notice to mentin. Her lush original factory mohair wig is still in the original set with a few flyaways or stray hairs. Bobsy's outfit is crisp, tagged (see photo) and has never been washed, ironed or repaired & we don't think it needs it. The outfit is a pale light blue with flocked white dots and tatted lace trim. Her wide brimmed tatted trimmed bonnet still retains the beautiful little blue flocked flowers too. Matching fat panties are in good shape. Ginny is wearing a great pair of original factory shoes/socks (centersnaps) that we don't believe were ever off her feet. The silver snap is smooth, unlike the more common key design snap. They don't get better than this. They have smooth amber soles. This adorable doll will come to you with the gold stand we used to stand her up when photographing so you can display her right away if you like. She has never been out of her box on display. The flocked dots are just, if one wants to be very very critical, slightly off-white. Outfit is crisp & a beautiful light baby blue.
